Above Ground Swimming Pools
If you want to buy a pool but don’t want to spend the money on an in-ground pool, or want to commit to that huge hole being in your back yard, you may want an above ground pool. These come in round or oval shapes and function the same way that in ground pools do. They are sturdy, with frames composed of either resin or steel, or sometimes both, and linings inside. The prices on above ground pools can vary considerably, mostly depending on the size of the pool. In general, you can expect to pay between $1,000 and $2,000. Keep in mind there are other things to be purchased for your pool, and these all depend on how much you want to get. You will need a cover for the pool. You can purchase a heater for your pool, but you can also buy a solar cover which can warm a pool up quite nicely. Vacuums are nice for getting debris out from the bottom of the pool, and chlorine is a constant need.

In-Ground Pools
In-ground pools are swimming pools made out of a large hole in the ground. Tiles or kits can be used to make your in-ground pool. There are many companies that can install your in-ground pool. These cost quite a bit more than an above ground pool, and again it mostly depends on the size of the pool. A small in-ground pool with no accessories can cost approximately $5,000. A larger one will be $10,000. If you want items such as steps and lights, which certainly create ease in your pool use as well as making it look more attractive, you will of course be spending more. Heaters, in-wall ladders and diving boards are other difficult to ignore extras.
Inflatable Swimming Pools
Inflatable swimming pools have come a long way. You can get a small eight foot pool for thirty to forty dollars to sit in and escape from the heat. You can also get an eighteen foot diameter, forty-two inch high inflatable pool for several hundred dollars that comes with an air pump and a filter. These are nice options if you like the idea of having a pool available for parties but don’t necessarily want the responsibility of having a pool up year long, as well as the inconvenience of it taking up much of your yard.
