Information On Running Shoes
There are different types of running shoes and depending on your exercise routine, a certain style may be right for you. Keep in mind that running shoes are not meant to be worn on the runway so do not worry about the look because they should only be worn for running. Focus on what really matters, the shoe that fits your foot type and running needs. Shoes that promote stability or motion control help prevent your feet from rolling inwards too much, also known as pro nation. They are heavy but generally durable and still should be cushioned to reduce the impact of running. Structured cushioning shoes are for mild to moderate over pronators. The benefit of shoes like this is that they offer some stability without sacrificing cushioning. For the more neutral runner, cushioned shoes are recommended because they are soft, light, and well cushioned. Their design is for those runners who do not over pronate or sub pronate, not rolling the foot inward enough.

Running Information
Here are a few tips for the beginning runner. First, do not listen to music if you run outside because while the music may be a motivation, you will not hear if there is danger around you. Second, do not lean back while you run down a hill. Lean forward at the pelvis slightly to gain speed but maintain control. The gravity will give you speed and the position will release some of the pressure on your heels. In a race this is beneficial because it is less exhausting. When running uphill, do not stop to take a break or switch to walking. It takes less effort to keep running at a slower pace than to walk up the hill. To help yourself keep the running pace keep your breathing calm and regular. Lastly, do not run in place. This can inhibit correct movements which are the key to fast and safe running.
